Electric over hydraulic steering January 02, 2024 09:38PM
I’m currently using a helm pump steering on a 9000 pound tractor and it doesn’t turn very good. I have changed cylinders, bled everything twice, reset my pivot points everything I can think of and it still isnt all that good .I have been thinking about sticking an old electric/hydraulic pump I have in there and trying to steer through it. Is that possible with the helm pump? Does anyone have a diagram I could use or someone I could call and talk to about setting this up? Thanks

Call Arlo at Pobar 402-826-0793, he sells power steering kits and could answer all questions regarding your setup, my kit from him kept same helm pump and cylinder etc.

I'm using the setup that Blackbourn sells, on my HvySS. It is slick. You can steer the tractor with your pinky finger. Wish I would've had it years ago.

I've got a couple electric steering units I made. I'd sell one. 4026404114
