4440 with a 466 can i install a head off a 55 series tractor
|
I am thinking of putting a different head on my 4440 for more air flow. Question is what all needs changed if I want to change the head. Pistons, rocker arms, valve springs? Thanks for the help. |

There are at least a hundred guys on here that can answer your question and another 20 that can tell you more than you ever wanted to know. Maybe you'll get lucky and and maybe you won't. |

To answer your question on will it fit yes bolt it on just the way it is. But then it won't start because of the combustion chamber difference between the 40 series and 55 series. It will decompress it to much. It will start with either and run good but not without nose candy. If you're going to pull it in farmstock (pure farm) it's fine. If you're still planning to farm with it it's kind of a pain. |

Yes will fit. Will be hard to start. Just call riverside and get correct pistons and be done. |
