Case heads July 06, 2024 11:59AM
Have been told the case heads are a limiting factor in building a case. Was wondering opinions on the subject would be for a 3000 to 3500 rpm class. Surely somebody has made them better by now. Just looking into it any advice would be appreciated.

Yea they suck. Clean them up yourself for free or get your cheque book and have someone who knows what they’re doing with CASE heads make them flow 300cfm.
Don’t send them to your ordinary machine shop, you’ll want someone who’s familiar with CASE.

I recommend Bob Himes. He worked on a set of heads for a Case Farm Stock project that I working on and it was a significant improvement.
