Alcohol in farm stock class July 13, 2024 06:18AM
Has anyone tried to put together a methanol/ethanol/race gas tractor to run in a rpm and speed limited farm stock class? And if someone were to do such could it be competitive?
Don't really want to get into whether it should be allowed or that it's not "stock" since most of these tractors aren't stock anymore anyways. I know that most places have rules against it but there are a few places around the don't seem to care what you bring.

I'd surely think a deere, case,or a mm would be at the top of the class

Not even just them, the antique guys are putting spark plugs in a ih 466 and punching them out real big surely somebody could put a charger on one and make big power

Factory gas head would be easy

Moline on LP or Gas is the more factory correct route...slap in a HD 800 and have at it.

I use to run E85 in a farmall 460 to run 5500lbs farm class. Ran 2800 rpms. Worked well jist sucked the fuel.
