Stainless Grade Turbo Headers September 19, 2009 10:36AM
Has anyone built a set of headers from Stainless.

I need to build a set for a Alcohol Turboed SS.

What grade have you used 321 or will 304 work?

I am just trying to find tubing locally.

If its a IH header you need, give Esdon a call. Heard he has some on the shelf ready to go. Or he might make a custom one for you or give you some imfo on what to use.

Hes does great work, just hard for him to do it overnight because he works fulltime as well. He can build anything with stainless and does it clean! Id recommend him if you have a few months of time to wait.

burnsstainless.com has 304 and 321 up to .065 or you could try your local dairy equipment supply company,not sure how well pipeline tubing will bend though? also there is the odd muffler shop advertising all stainless systems,from experience that tubing is not as pure stainless but this allows easier forming! was a fella in town here that did this work for car restorers but I have lost his contact info.could ask around or even just ask his wife who works in my local bank branch. I do have various lengths of 1.750 and 2.000 milk line tubing but I am reluctant to give up any 90. elbows. sent you a pm.
