Simons $50k to Win Pull November 20, 2024 02:10AM
Love the idea for the pull. Curious the reasoning for the timing of the pull. Too bad it is the same weekend as Mackville Wi and several other pulls. Sounds like he has a good turn out from the pullers so far. Curious how it will effect class numbers in Mackville. If the pullers are more interested in the chance at 50k or running there points event. I hope it works out for them, I just worry it is going to hurt other good organizations and promoters. I know it gets hard avoiding other events but this pull could be big.

That being said hopefully we get the chance to see mods or semis at Mackville since Farley and Hutch switched weekends and Falrey isn't running them! Could be huge!

You might need to head to Facebook and checkout RJ's post about both semis, and mods. Running a shootout. hate to burst your bubble

Farley is looking to do something still for the mods or semis, or both.

Re; ignored class
Super Farm would be the class, I assume.
Wouldn't the events you listed have Super Farms at them?
I actually applaud Simon's for "overlooking" the Superfarm class.
They have come far, they now blow smoke over their roll cages, and don't snuff out very bad, but they are STILL are an entry level class, and tend to prove it at every venue they compete at.
They MIGHT be able to rustle up 50 tractors, but the class will NOT put 50 more butts in the grandstands.
Mods and Semi's will.
Good business decision.

You just can't get over your ma leaving your pa for that guy with the shinny superfarm. Let it go and move on. We all know you hate the superfarms, but it's not their fault your ma left. Grow up and move on.

That's all you got?
At least I stated FACTS.
I await yet another childish response.

What class do you pull in? Where do you pull? You are always first to get on here and bash the superfarms, so enlighten us with your vast pulling experiences.

For clarification:
I do not have a issue with Simons having the high stakes event as so they choose. I do not have a machine that will be pulling at the event. But I do promote a event that is the same weekend. Previously I enjoyed sharing support for the Farley event the week before my own. I would attend and encourage others to attend both events on different weekends. Now with the change of their dates people will have to choose where they would like to go to watch a pull. Some will attend both on different nights, some may choose one over the other. I am not concerned about my show's attendance at this point but feel there could have been more consideration to help grow the sport in the area rather than compete for attendance.

When I said there were multiple classes that requested to pull at this high stakes event I meant there were MULTIPLE. 3.0 Pro Street diesel trucks / LSS / Hot Farm / Superfarm/ etc.. All I was implying is that there is no way they will have a event that they cannot run their machines at! Which I feel every promoter is guilty of.

Mr. Shell, I apologize if i offended you at any point and will respectfully conclude this as to why i hesitate to comment among these forums.

Farmall M anywhere I can.

Re: Simons $50k to Win Pull November 20, 2024 05:22AM
If Simons have a machine in the class then it will pull it at Farley. There were multiple classes asking to be included in the event that were ignored to say the least. Yet they are going to run a Shootout class for their machines.

I agree that the Timing conflicts are not ideal for any level. Fathers day weekend has been a annual weekend for many events and Simon's event has always been the weekend prior to fathers day . Whether it be pullers or fans I feel the timing of this event will not be great for anyone. Mackville(BSTP), Cuba City(ECI & TRI-STATE), Davenport(ECI) and Farley are all events within reasonable driving distance of each other happening June 13th &14th.

Interested to see how it plays out and I will credit anyone for growing the sport! Best of luck to everyone!

Well they don’t have a 4.1 or a mini….. so..

Re: Simons $50k to Win Pull November 20, 2024 01:51PM
How much does it cost to get in to watch the pulls each night for a fan?

Re: Simons $50k to Win Pull November 21, 2024 12:39AM
Well, thanks for bursting my bubble! lol. I wish them well. I just feel bad for the events that have been on that weekend forever that now have to compete with them for pullers. I like the idea of the pull but running on a normal season weekend and pulling away from other good events (and promoters that rely on that money) I am not so sure about. Fathers day always seemed like the first big weekend for the pulling season.

I am not a Facebooker so I did not see the post. I would assume being a smaller turn out the semis and mods would not have the 50k pay out? Would they be swayed then to run a points event over a shoot out?

Re: Simons $50k to Win Pull November 22, 2024 08:08AM
this thing is gonna be awesome and overall seems well thought out. but the fact that mods and semi or unlimited, are not there is a mistake. And it sounds like it’s “possible” but how awesome would it be to see 20-25 mods in a class…you can’t see, modified or unlimited power anywhere in the world other than a tractor pull. and quite frankly, I will not personally travel to any pull unless mods or unlimited are running. for all of the thought and everything this looks like it’s gonna be, not to have those heavy hitters there, is a huge miss in my opinion.
