I was wondering if it is possible to put a 12 valve pump on a 24 valve motor without alot of work |

the simplest way is to find a timnig case and injector pump off of a 12 valve because the the 12 valve timing case will bolt right on to a 24 valve u will also need the 12 valve injector pump gear ... u will also need a new set of lines made ... im not sure about how to hook up the throttle linkage though |

if not mistaken you have put a rear cover off a case skid loader with the 4 cyl inline pump if trying p7100 or mechanical like an a pump call me already did it 816-286-9965 the housing is 159$ and you have 12v gears |

i was told by afew people that all i need to do is change the front cover and the gears for the pump and get new lines to fit the 24 valve motor along with the throttle linckage nothing about a case skidsteer r whatever u said |

you will need the front cover from an 12V motor, you can get them new, or sometimes you can find them used, you need the pump gear, a different oil supply line that splits off to the pump and power stearing pump, a custom set of lines that are made for the p pump conversion and maybe some other small odds and ends, but that is the major parts.
A good amount of labor is required, as the cam has to be pulled to switch the covers. Other than that, the p pump is much more reliable than the VP electronic pumps. |

Just to clarify it is called the timing case that needs to be changed, not the cover. The cam does need to be pulled to remove the case. The case needs to be changed to except the P-pump bolt pattern. |

Scheid or Haisleys sells pre bent lines. Im running scheid lines on mine, and havent had any problems with them other than poor fitment.
These guys have pretty much hit the nail on the head or the basics of the swap. With a couple of friends and a good work space, its not uncommon to get the swap done in a weekend. If needed Haisleys sells a swap kit minus pump which can help out getting all the small parts of the swap. I know your probably wondering, but drivability is just fine with a p-pump swap. Been driving mine for 2 1/2 years and loved every mile! |

i agree scheid has the p-pump 24 valve conversion down pat and plus the p-pump is a much more reliable pump than the vp44... and its great for either performance work or everyday driving |
