SBJD external oil pump plumbing questions??? December 09, 2009 05:04AM
What is the best way to plumb the two pump suction lines into the oil pan. One suggestion I was given was to weld two pipes into the oil sump part of the pan from front to back, about a 1/2" off the bottom and cut the bottom half of the pipe away starting about half way back and continue with the bottom half removed all the way to the rear of the sump. Would this be the best way or is just tapping the side of the pan for an elbow fitting on each side good enough? I will be running a pair of inline strainers in the suction lines.

Thanks!
