Aluminum rods questions January 02, 2010 12:13PM
Im tring to get on paper what Im planning to build. We are planing on making a set of rods for a LLSS on alcohol.
Question is, Will aluminum rods hold up? Ive heard of people trashing them after a season? If so do they bend, stretch or break?
Also what kind of material makes a good rod? Were talking about 6061 becasue it is heat treatable.
Any suggestions welcome,
Thanks

Aluminum rods will work fine. 7075 is about the only affordable aluminum that will work
