Does anyone use a 14mm Shied SF pump and if so how much do you like it compared to say a Hart 13mm pump? Just wondering about constructive comments not starting a bash on any builders...thanks

Well, i can't comment on Shied's pump. But i've had a couple from Hart's Diesel. I had a 13mm P3000 pump, and a 13mm P7100 pump.. The 7100 was supposed to be that much better.. It wasn't... Actually lost around 60 hp on the dyno over the P3000 13mm that i got from him years ago. Although, the 7100 i got, was taken apart shortly after that, and there were bearings out on the camshaft on a pump that had maybe 5-6 runs on it? Kinda wierd for being a "new" pump.

Best thing you can do for a pump, find a dyno shop that has a few different ones to try. Go there, dyno run with the pumps, and run the one that works the best for you. Buy it right from the Dyno shop! Then you know exactly what you have when you leave the door there. This is just my 2 peso's though...
