IH 466 or 510 for Pulling?s January 19, 2010 01:11PM
I am gonna pull hot farm was just wondering the difference in power and if it was worth the extra money to have custom pistions built. I am also wondering what a good compression ratio to go with. Also wondered if there were any tips or tricks anyone was willing to share.
Thanks for the Help!! Paul

It is just simply amazing that for all of the 466 cube classes that are in place across the country that one would want to build a larger motor than 466 cubes. Especially if you are limited to that. What is even more amazing is the fact all the other brands that are left out by the 466 cube rules and are punished for making a more superior engine to start with can't pull, but in order to compete in a 466 class with my 1066 I have to have 500+ cubes to compete, but if I wanted to build a 504 case it is a sin and you should be shunned!!

its a 510 class... to amazing. no one is cheating January 26, 2010 12:08AM
the class limit is 510 so be 510 . 466 gets beat by 510. its not cheating here. bring your case with 504. its legal.

Thanks for the input I am for sure just gonna spend the $ and do the 510. 4.5in bore puts you right at 511. If anyone else has suggestions Im still thinking on what to do head and fuel wise. Thanks Paul
