I used ten gauge on my allison but I was thinking a mini might be ok with around 12 gauge???? or even 14 ???? .125 seems really heavy for a mini but maybe thats what they need. What do the blown minis usually use? Thanks for any input |

1/8" inch alum bent into a wedge is good for most any mini under a GN tractor. Thats what we have used for years. |

Back in the day, our first mini was two lengths of 1 X 3 steel tubing of about .090. The rebuild of that we used .125 wall thickness. Had a 496 alcohol injected Buick V-8 with a Turbo 400, 12 bolt GM rear and Firestone tires. What a ride! Those were the days--no cage, no belts, no individual brakes--steered by leaning one way ot the other, many didn't even wear a helmet. What the hell were we thinking????. Some of those old minis are on Wysongs "Wild Rides, Wrecks and whatever".

I remember pulling a N/A mini in the very early 80`s with a local outfit, with just cutoff shorts and sandels on a very hot day!! But we did have a kill switch and a tranny blanket........Lots of fun back in the day!! |
