i am putting a 466 in a 656 frame i am looking for ideas on a clutch and flywheel set up. any ideas?

better go with T/A delete doubt you find on of those little TA's that will take any kind of power

I have a 466 bolck in front of a 656 housing. I have a 4 disk growler but do not have room for a ring gear, I put a airplane starter in the front the the engine, and it works very well, starter is 36 volts, so does not run but only a second or two to start the motor. Works great!

call me we have the back plate, clutches and ta eliminators with fast set of constant mesh gear sets and you can put your starter right back in the stock hole. we are currently working on the last phase of the eliminator kits.

Do you have a kit to put a red diamond in an M? I never liked 560's. If so is the plate you use a home made plate? or an IH plate? If it is an IH plate do you have to alter the plate?

YES WE HAVE A PLATE TO PUT A RD ENGINE IN M. THEY ARE LASER CUT LOOK LIKE ORIGINAL. PICTURE OF THEM UNDER PARTS AT customtractorparts.com we also have the clutches you would need.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you!
There is a 3 tooth set up of both the end of the crank and on the end of the starter, when the engine is running it will push the starter set of teeth back into the starter thus shutting off the airplane starter. Really works well, and is very abuseville. The down fall is that you need 3 twelve volts batteries (36 volts) to make the starter work 100%. We use forklift batteries, dry cell, and are farly small!

I use one with two twelve volt batteries and it still spins up nicely.

Do you every have issue with hard engagement of the starter I am thinking wiring a second circuit to my 36 volt start using 12 volts to soften the engagement.. With full 36 volts is slams in hard. Thanks.
