Ford/NewHolland Genesis Engine Question March 19, 2010 02:29PM
I bought a Genesis 456 engine minus the pump. I was told there is a difference in the mounting plate for the injection pump, one for an A-pump and another for a P-pump. How can you tell the difference? Is there a difference? I thought the motor I bought had a p-pump on it. If I have an A-pump plate, what can u do to make a p-pump fit? Has anyone done that? I don't have a p-pump yet to measure.

Yes just look at the location of the frost plug above the hole and 4 studs where you mount the pump, if the frost plug is left of center or closer to the inside studs thean its an a line if it is closer to the outside studs or right of center it is a p. I have the p pump plates. Give me a call 717-729-5045.
