I have a LPS I wanted to make a few passes with the HSS and the 1 hook in Dorchester WI. I didnt want to dump $500 bucks just to hook 2 or 3 times.

No, you can hook at a per hook basis. No license needed.

HOWEVER, you MUST have an NTPA clutch inspection, and NTPA cage inspection done BEFORE hooking to the sled. AS well as meet all safety rules.
