They used the only real V8 engine manufacturer: PERKINS

massey used a 510ci V8 in the 1150 mf. a 540ci V8 in the 1155 and 2745mf. and a 640ci V8 in the 2775 and 2805mf tractors all three engines were made by perkins there were also some 903 cummins V8s in the articulated tractors such as the 4840 and 4900 masseys

Massey Ferguson also has used the CATERPILLAR 3150 (573 ci) and 3160 (636 ci) v-8's in the MF1500 and MF1800 articulated 4 wheel drives .They have also used the CATERPILLAR 3208 (636 ci) v-8 in the MF1505 and MF1805 articulated 4 wheel drives.These tractors were all produced from 1971 through 1977.

If what you are asking is did they use a 903 cummins the answer is yes, in the 4840, 4880, 4900

They also used the 60 series Detroit and a Big inline Cummins in the 5200.

The last massey built that was worth a damn was the sexy 1100 and 1130, -after that it was all down hill from there

11oo gas had wuakasha used Minnies in 95-97s

The 95 and 97 both had Moline engines because they were moline tractors with a new grille, paint, decals, and steering wheel center. Maybe seat was different. The Wauk in the 1100 was most related to engines in Olivers.
