A while back we discussed safety / air restrictors and stuff.
Some of you wanted me to let them know how we proceed with our Hot Farm Project in Germany.
Well, we had a class at a big pull and finally enough tractors in the area to lay down some nice competition.
Track was hit by heavy rain before and by the time they let us run not in good condition.
So - here is a look at our beginnings for those who care.

What you see on the video is the 9900 lbs class heavily filled up with tractors out of the 7700.
Rules:
9900 = 2700 rpm, 68mm diameter and 20mm long air restrictor, 550 cui, any pump, intercooler allowed
7700 = all the same except for 427 cui as limit
The little red ones (1246 & 1255 IHs) in the video are all DT 358 with HX 50, 10 to 14mm A pumps and air to air intercooler. The black 1455 has the DT 402.
The Case has a 13mm P with HX 50 and air to air intercooler, the Ford also runs a 13m P and the MF a Simms.
The Renault runs a P with a KKK Turbo and no intercooler.
We have a few more machines in the association - but they are spread all over the place and mainly run brush pulls. Germany may not be that big - but 200 to 400 mls travel distance to a pull is very common if you are not lucky enough to sit in the north west and with Diesel at 6$/gallon, transporting your hot farm is expensive.

with our any legal block rule now,would any of the engines from over there be a good place to start.i dont intend on building one,but just wondering.any twd tractors use a v-10,or anything that would make a good block.
Not really...
Biggest (modern) tractors here are the 9series Fendt with the 7.2 Liter Deutz engines.
Bigger would be the Claas Xerion with the 9l Cat. They just came out with a 500 hp version - also Cat.
Other European tractors use Iveco, Deutz, Sisu, Cummins, John Deere, ....
What could be an option is the MAN engine used by Fendt in the 80s.
The Hurricane is based upon that one, but they are still sorting bugs.
