I have been looking at this class (compact deisel) from europe for a few months now. been doing research for building one in west central wisconsin. Most of the pullers over in europe are using the VW 1.8 Lturbo deisel with a few puegots thrown in. Rick Gruber , Green Addiction |

i think there was a version of compact diesels, maybe it was the ngtpa,i beleive they were somewhat affiliated with ntpa.in western pa there is 2 compact diesels, which pull with the mini's.they are way behind the euro pullers for performance.feicht announces them as having a 4" charger and 600 hp,but these numbers are inflated quite a bit. |

the top ones can touch 10k rpms with turbos that are usually HX40 Holsets. There is one with an HX50....
There is quite a wide range of them. Here's some more videos: Floating Finish - the German Tractor Pulling Web Show and EU Live Streams: [www.youtube.com] |

Wow, thats some serious rpm for a diesel! What does one cost to build? |
Re: nice video

The NQS compacts are only 3 cylinders and have to run oem heads ,intake, exh manifolds I think 70-100 hp would be a good guess, the bad part about the nqs is julians big twin is about unbeatable unless they break but the rules are made for them to be unbeatable, i think you could make one compete on alcohol and making your own intake and exhaust manifold set up like the big tractors use,if you compare Calvin Beckers Spike to those in the videos its like comparing a farm stock to a prostock tractor and spike runs really strong |
