Mark Peissig (The Bomb) and Marty Chandler (Deeply Hooked [unless he changed its name]). Their tractors both weigh less than 5,000 lbs. I'm sure they aren't the only ones, but two that I know for sure. |

Most of the light supers in wisconsin have 1000 pounds of movable weight. So take away another lets say 200 pounds for the driver and then you have a bunch of tractors that weigh 5000 pounds. Heck, theres even a tractor that has an intercooler that has 1000 pounds of suitcase weights on. As for the smuggler, he had a fiberglass hood so that makes him a lot heavier. |

smugglers hood weights aprox. 150lbs. Smuggler has 1150lbs moveable plus he has a very thick plate welded on the front. Beleve me smuggler is bay far the lightest. |

As an aside, I wouldn't be terribly surprised to find out that several USS tractors are down around 5000 bare, as well. Granted, they do not have to be as relentless about shaving weight, but in the component era aren't most guys using the same stuff chassis-wise or no? I gotta think tractors like Measel's could be very light.
