What does a IH torque weight? June 22, 2010 01:59AM
Got a 856 and looking to lose some weight. Ive been wondering what the torque weighs and how much the whole hyd. system { steering, brakes torque} weighs? Also we still have the 856 rear, and i hear that a 706 is lighter than a 1066 by about 250 lbs. Can anyone tell me the weight diff. between the 856 and the 706 rears. Thanks

I don't have direct answers to your questions, but I can say that I have seen a 706 gas with a straight drawbar, 15.5's on cast centers, dual PTO and basically farm ready pull in the 7500 class, even with calm-shell fenders. I need to get my 706 across the scales sometime, as it is the same but without a TA. I figure it would make someone a real good start to a puller!
