oil cooler eliminator June 23, 2010 05:09PM
What all needs to be done on a sbjd to get rid of the oil cooler. Make two plates and what else. What is the best thing to do with the oil piping underneath. Any other things to do? Thanks

As far as I know remove oil cooler and make a plate to cover where cooler was use a cooler gasket for pattern and for the tubes just use some good soft plugs to fill the tube holes.

If you still have the oil pump in the pan you will need to build a pipe from the pump so it just goes to the regulating valve/filter housing and not to the cooler bypass valve first. Then you can get rid of the bypass valve and cooler by covering the holes
