Nice pic Bundy-got any more? And the little boy outside the fence is thinking,"I want one just like that when I grow up".

Re: Redline Lite pic June 28, 2010 03:53AM
Or maybe its a John Deere fan thinking man I need to jump ships.

Re: Redline Lite pic June 28, 2010 06:01AM
Are those boys at binder lite good or what!!! Man thats a cool tractor!

Re: Redline Lite pic June 28, 2010 06:31AM
Ted and Tony have a gift of being able to transform a sheet of aluminum into almost anything. It looks simple now, but it took alot of imagination to come up with a tractor like that and make it happen. Great job to all who made it happen!!!!

Re: Redline Lite pic June 28, 2010 06:40AM
Heard someone say he shoulda went retro and came back with the gold RLF as a 786...

Re: Redline Lite pic June 28, 2010 08:40AM
Huge RLF fan, but I gotta say, that gold paint job belongs back there in the '80s!

Re: Redline Lite pic another pic June 28, 2010 10:31AM
Great looking 460 reminds me of the old days with Henry Piper in Illinois. Is It a diesel or a Alky burner?

Re: Redline Lite pic another pic June 28, 2010 10:28AM
No Tom Dickerson won in 94 Rob Russell won 7500 pound class in 88and 89 and won another in 93 when the combined weight classes.

Re: Redline Lite pic another pic June 28, 2010 10:40AM
nice tractor, does Esdon do all his own work or does he have a few guys help him out?

Re: Redline Lite pic another pic June 29, 2010 01:40AM
No body can do ALL their own work. I am sure Esdon has some good friends. I think the word is delagate and then appreciate.

I dont like it. June 29, 2010 02:02AM
Thumbs DownThumbs DownThumbs Down Am I the only who one who thinks it is ugly and a bit rediculous? That being said, the craftsmanship and attention to detail by the builder is second to none, and from the pictures the fit and finish is amazing.....and it is different and original as far as the class it is in.......... but....... Its a 460...... I guess Im not an IH man so I just don't get it....... And as far as the guys who are looking forward to the JD 730 sheet metal..... I guess with the new rules you can build this exact tractor and just swap the hoods........ Have Fun with that. Thumbs DownThumbs DownThumbs Down
Just my opinion...... the fellas that built those hoods are artists and craftsman, true craftsman

Re: I dont like it. June 29, 2010 02:38AM
You are not the only one!! I don't particularly care for the akward looking appearance, looks like you sit on the ground and in about the middle of the tractor. Doesn't look very well proportioned. Just my opinion though. I'm sure it runs great and there will be many that follow it.

No slight against Dibbles, you guys do amazing work, and I'm sure you were only doing what you were asked. Keep up the good work, creativity is not a bad thing!!

keep in mind it is a 460 utility June 29, 2010 05:13AM
it is a 460 utility so by nature they are ackward looking. how ever because how the tractors are designed it fits very well. if there is any thing good about the new sheet metal rule this has to be it with the creativity on making your facorite tractor no matter what it is look awsome and have the power to compete. definatly thinking out of the box. it will give the sheet metal guys reasons to create works of art. if there is a 730 john deere some day that would be awsome too even if its greenGrinning

Re: keep in mind it is a 460 utility June 29, 2010 05:54AM
i think a ac d-19 would be good looking with this same seating arrangement, also one of the two styles of the ford 6000 commander would be an interesting peice, the model without the headlights in the center would probably be the best.i have to admit i was not a big fan of the any sheet metal rule, but this rlf lite seems to have sparked a newborn interest in the ss class, and the lighte class this does not look all that out of place due to the fact that thats were a 460 belongs.if this was a ssd or uss class tr i would agree that it does look rediculous, based on the fact that a 460 just doesnt belong there.just my .02.

Re: keep in mind it is a 460 utility June 29, 2010 11:33AM
I don't know about the D-19... but would love to see a WD-45!!

I like the hood, don't like the cage and seat position, and think flat top fenders would look better than the clamshells.

back to his roots June 29, 2010 05:56AM
way back esdon pulled a 460 or 560 . i think it looks great .

Re: back to his roots June 29, 2010 11:26AM

Re: back to his roots June 29, 2010 12:31PM
Having grown up on a 1959 model 460 diesel I think Esdons 460 flat rocks. As for the clam shell fenders thats what 460's had back then.Flat tops didnt come out until around 1964 or so.

Re: back to his roots June 29, 2010 03:07PM
Looks like Esdon concentrated on making the chassis as lite as possible. Notice all the movable weight he has. That could make that tractor competitive even though it's a diesel. Too bad the reds on the chassis and hood don't match perfectly but otherwise a nice tractor.
