Just wondering if anyone has any experience stroking a sbjd 404 motor to 466? Running 3000 rpm class and was curious if the add stroke helped any. |

Typically a 466 comes from a bigger bore than the 404. A 404 is 4.25 bore, a 466 is 4.56, both have a 4.75 stroke. |

Yes, better cylinder fill plus extra cranking leverage equals more torque. |

Whats the best combo to get a 404 to 466? Could you just put a 3/4 stroke on the crank and then trim the top of your stock piston or would that leave too little metal for your ring groove? Can you swing a 5.5 crank in a 404 cam driven block? |
