What turbo August 13, 2010 02:47AM
What turbo would best fill my need on a dt466 that is now a 530. I will be running in the 2800 rpm 10mph with a 13mm pump. the reason i am asking is because, i dont want one to big that it will shutter out on the end of the track if i dont get it wide open. I still need it to lug. i do not plan on lugging it but if it does happen

Do you run an intercooler?
This is a 550 with intercooler at 2700 rpm and an HX 80...

HX 60 would be a save bet. http://www.caboturbo.com/ <- that guy is specialized in turbos for rpm limited pulling tractors. He can build you what you need for usually very competetive prices.

Sacha I am amazed he can spin a HX 80 at 2700 rpm. It sounds as if he can lug decent at the end of the track. Maybe that turbo is not as big as I think.

HX 60. He said HX 60 Smiling

The video says 550ci and Hx80 at 2700 rpm

I said I recommend an HX 60 for him. For the HX 80 he needs a serious intercooler, very well done head, quick pump, ... all the goodies you can name... it's possible, but takes knowledge
