Help with p pump August 16, 2010 12:15PM
Hello I have a stock 10 mm p-pump off a truck motor an I am putting on a 466 with a 3lm charger how can i get more fuel out of the p pump an roughly how much horsepower out of this combo. Thanks

Well, unfortunately not much. You won't get enough fuel out of that particular pump to make much difference.

what would u suggest bosch pump tech ? should i send that pump out an have modified or start from scratch to match that turbo

It all depends on how much you have, and want to spend. Beings you HAVE a pump, you could put it on and try it and see what you get. Also, are you sure its a P pump? Just asking because some get confused with the MW pump.

Re: Help with p pump August 17, 2010 03:31AM
how are you determining it's 10MM? not too many 6 CYL 10MM p pumps around. (6030) comes to mind. PES6P100 is 10MM, PES6P110 is 11MM, PES6P120 is 12MM. As said above, you may have an MW. PES6MW100. First figure out for sure what you have, then determine how bad you want to win, then figure out if you can afford it. good luck with the project. Ed.

ya its the pes6mw100 i just check sorry about that is it worth doing anything to this pump or am I just wasting my time an buy a p-pump done.Next question what would work good with my charger 3lm just trying to get 400 hp out of this dt 466

Forget the MW pump, if you can run a P pump, get a P pump. The 3LM might be a lil small for a P pump, though.

Re: Help with p pump August 17, 2010 07:21AM
By all means if you can run a P put it on!!!!! You will be money ahead in the long run PLUS just because you have a 3LM doesnt mean you have to set the fuel all the way up!! Just give it what it needs ............ that screw turns both ways
