wisner super farm August 21, 2010 07:28PM
How did the super farms fair for the weekend and were the numbers good??

Re: wisner super farm August 22, 2010 06:45AM
There were 30 super farms. 2 sessions and the " thunder by the river " shoot out winner was " Magnum Force"

Wisner results August 22, 2010 12:50PM
Are they missing the afternoon session of results from wisner on the outlaw web page, because didn't the super farm pull three times?

Re: Wisner results August 23, 2010 12:11AM

Anyone have the results from the early classes saturday?

Re: results Outlaws Wisner NE * 8/21/2010 August 23, 2010 12:15PM
Thanks so much for all the Wisner results. Outlaws still have the results in a format that doesnt work on my computer. I can go anywhere else with no problems

Re: results Outlaws Wisner NE * 8/21/2010 August 23, 2010 01:40PM
still have'nt showed the afternoon results yet. everything posted are evening shows.

Re: results Outlaws Wisner NE * 8/21/2010 August 23, 2010 11:43PM
They have got the outlaw afternoon session posted for the super farms and other classes. I also noticed the same super farm took second all weekend.

Re: results Outlaws Wisner NE * 8/21/2010 August 24, 2010 02:51AM
Ya that was those Red Rock boys!! Way to Go Guys!! To bad it wasnt 1st all 3 times, but knowing you good sport fellows, you were super excited to take the 2nd place title all 3 times! Good Job!! Cant wait to see you guys run for the last few pulls this year yet! Hope it runs great!! Best wishes!

Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 24, 2010 06:23AM
And it also looks like RED ROCK took total points for the Extreme Sweep: Ravenna, Rock Valley & Wisner! way to go!!!!

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 24, 2010 05:13PM
Ya but if that fat ol Bodwell wasnt in the sled for Barry's hook on sat afternoon it might have shortened up that .02 feet to a win. That cant be fair in a pull off to have one tractor and only one tractor haul an extra guy down the track?

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 24, 2010 11:29PM
Might have helped the pull if he was in the cab. Weight behind the tamdems holds the pan off the ground longer, because when the sleds started putting heavier cabs on they had to put more wieght in the box to compensate for it. Might have ended up 3rd if that extra weight wasn't in the cab.

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 25, 2010 03:44AM
Agree with your theory, but whether or not it helped him or hurt him the point is that it was not right. There should never be any kind of weight or gearing changes during a class.

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 25, 2010 01:14PM
I agree, especially with SF, usually the box has one or maybe two blocks in it so even little changes make a huge difference!
You ever notice the announcers never talk about how much the sled weighs when the SF's are pulling?
And they have to clean off the BACK window of the sled during SF class because the bugs are smashing into it while the sled is going down the track?

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 25, 2010 11:52PM
I love the superfarm class its a large class and for the most part the tractors didn't break the bank!! Great entry level class with alot of following in our area

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 26, 2010 02:27AM
Outlaws super farm class has been a whole lot better this year with the new pull-off. Just like saturday afternoon the first tractor to hook was a super farm after about 1/2 hour trying to do the national anthem with the sky divers. The track had time to dry out and the first tractor goes close to 330 feet and then no one broke 320 feet. It would have been over and boring for the next 30 hooks if not for the new 5 hook bracket that kept the class going with many things happening. (Match ups, who's in the pull- off, lucky dog on the bubble) The announcers do such a good job explaining what's going on and now most of us fans have it figured out and everyone likes the pull -off. This has really helped this class and made it fair for all the tractors to make the pull-off and then decide who is truely the best tractor that day. Good job outlaws.

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 26, 2010 03:16AM
IT is called the luck of the draw. It this is so good, why are you not doing it in all the classes. I would love to see the diesel supers in a pull off (4 tractor) Pro stock, 2wd . If this is so great, then why not all the classes. In the light supers a "back of the pack" run could get in the pull off.

5 years ago there was 50 plus tractors in the super farm class at Iowa state fair and Wisnor. As a promoter, it cost no more to have those extra tractors and for Outlaw it would mean a extra 10,000 in the bank. Doug is pushing pullers to go to other associations and then gets on the phone to beg them to come to pulls when he aint got enough tractors

Its called the luck of the draw, If first or last hook was always the best, then that would be different, but lets get real, it cost money to make a hook and when you have to make 2 hooks to win, who wins? It is Doug's ploy to widdle down the super farm class.

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 26, 2010 05:30AM
30 is enough super farms in one class and adding the pull off makes it about 35 hooks. The luck of the draw still comes in play especially when it is the first class of the pull, but sure takes some of the advantage out of it. I doubt the promoter and for sure the fans do not want 50 plus super farms in a class. The other larger classes are too high maintence for this kind of pull off format and yes it might make outlaws more money having 50 plus tractors but Doug may be more concerned about putting on a better pull. Must be working good as the class is bigger than last year.

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 26, 2010 08:31AM
The tractor that is leading the super farm class has already put a crank and a new turbo on this year, as well as different engine parts

The second place tractor has basicly rebuilt his motor because a gear had slipped on his cam

The 3rd place has rebuilt his transmission and has been in his motor

All these tractors would still be in 1, 2, 3 place with out a pull off, and they would not have had to spend the extra money. BTW the "pull off" money wont cover the additional broken parts

And you say that the maintance is to high in the other classes......now that is bs

And NTPA is looking at limiting the pull off

Hey Doug, Hows the money going? Since you are not concerned about money. Cant run a Outlaws with out money......all the bills paid?????

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 26, 2010 09:56AM
Its always Dougs fault. You probally not even a puller in the class. At the meeting the super farm guys wanted more hooks than just 16 trips down the track. Now even if the same super farm tractor made every pull off it would be less hooks than the Modified tractors, light super stock tractors and 2wd trucks. The first place tractor along with most of the others in the class hook elsewhere when the schedule with outlaws is open. The pull off money or the purse money if you won every class would not pay for the bills. From what I am hearing most pullers like the new pull off rules.

Re: Extreme Sweep Super Farm Winner August 26, 2010 01:39PM
Dont even listen to this moron, hes just angry, and is putting it on here for some reason. He's just making himself look like an idiot, i wish jake would just show the real names of people who act really dumb on here so they can be embarrassed, chances are they wont get on here again.
