I'd like a 5000, so i can pull twice, a 5 or 55 and a 6. you thinkin of the same rules as the 6 and 7 never satisfied? or a more "open" class |

Ruh. just did some work to my stroked jd a and wanted to hook it before boscobel on the 18th. will have bias 15.5's on for readstown. dont really care how it competes, or what class i pull it in, just want it to run better. darn deeres are touchie. i guess i was thinking a light open maybe 4500 or 5000 or 5500 i dont really care to b honest. |

I'd prefer something like a 55 personally, or even a 5250... I can make 5000 but I think with no weights. so thats 2 of us so far lol. we're loaded up and ready to go |

If you guys would let a 460 pull in antique open, I might be able to drive up there. I can pull as light as 5000, and have nothing real important going on that day..... |

what's wrong with 6000lb and 7000lb? cant you guys weight up for it? or is it that you just don't pull good in the heavy classes? |

sometimes light tractors just don't have enough weights, or brackets, to pull heavier. And sometimes, after breaking rear end parts by pulling heavy, they prefer to pull lighter to save their tractor! lol |

last I remember we don't have enough weight brackets for 7000, we used to have to use wheel weights which are long gone now. and really, I don't have the power to be competitive anyways, usually run stock antique but I don't wanna burn up the good dirt 14.9s on blacktop so I'm borrowing radials |

Thanks for not being offended on my last post, nice to see some people still have a sense of humor! seriously though, where and when do we draw the line on the "open antique class"? weight, engine limits, Etc.cc |

very good question harvestor of sorrow!!!!! the 3000 rpm limit became 5000+ and 2 hot stock tractors won it. i guess open antique became open whatever. the open antique class has always been 5500 and 6500 with a 3000 rpm limit. i remember sitting at a readstown meeting and getting preached to about "safety safety safety" well guys the unlimited rpm, unlimited turbo, etc. , is pushing the local boys, like myself out of the local pulls. have fun with those two tractors next year, because they will be the only ones there for that "open antique" class. Devin Updike , Boscobel, Wi. P.S. Other than that i think the pull was run very well. just still pissed that i got my @ss handed to me by 5000 rpm tractors when im at 1280 rpm. lol |

I wasn't gonna say anything... but ya, especially when I went there with the understanding of ONLY 3000 rpm limit, as it said on here. should of at least called it an open farm class since thats what it actually was and I could of saved my time and money. I did learn 2 things today tho.. 1)all 460s and 560s were built in 1958. and 2) just as long as the sheet metal said one thing, it didn't matter what block or frame it had.. other then that, it was fun socializing today lol |

what does it matter when the 460 and 560's were built?? the rules for today were 1959 and older for antique, that series of tractor was first built in 1958, so even if their was a 1960 460 pulling it's legal. |

there was a very good turn out of tractors, very well organized.great job to all people that put this event on, look forward to next year. and as for the unhappy pullers, this pull did something right to have two classes with 30 tractors in them. thanks again. |

I'm trying not to bitch, the pull was good, the turnout was good, the guys did a good job running it, till they changed the rules from a 3000 rpm limit to run what ya brung. there is a difference between an open antique class, and a straight open class. just my opinion. |
