rumor has it the more decompressed u can cut the pitons, the better, stronger they will run.. is there any truth to this? |

To some degree. It's matching cfm of air fuel and water and having room for it all. Some two charger setups will not decompress as much as the four charger setups. You can decompress alot but if your turbo's are not efficient enough you will hurt yourself by going to much. Some will decompress more or less depending on how it's holding up, example wrist pin bushing will pund out if to high. |

ok and what kind of rpm range would be about right for a two charger setup? |

Depends on final gear ratio. Most upper 4 to 5 thousand. |

also, do supers really gain in having head work done, aka porting and polishing, and bigger valves, or is the sufficient air pressure created by the turbos all you really need? |

Depends on how well you want it to run. If your looking to run good then you will need all you can have done. Unlike some other classes that will run better on more of a stock type head. |
