John Deere 359 August 31, 2010 01:26PM
I am considering starting a new project for a 3000 rpm class With a 360 cube limit and was wondering if anyone has used a 359 in this type of class. Any input or feedback on this idea would be appreciated. Thanks

Can you decube?? I always thought a 414 (6.8L) would work good.. (especially in a limited RPM class.) narrow the bore down, notch the sleeves for the vavles.. basically what some are doing to the 496 (8.1L) to run in a 466 class.. Long stroke, bigger journals, taller deck height, better rods.. lots of torque..
