rear percent September 11, 2010 11:50AM
If I have a 13/51 ring and pinion and change it to a 16/49 ring and pinion (3.92 to a 3.06) what percent change is that and what is the formula to determine this. Thank you

3.92-3.06=.86

.86/3.92=.2194

.2194 x 100 percent = 21.94

So the 16/49 is 21.94 percent faster than the 13/51
