Older IH light super chassis September 15, 2010 04:58AM
What ever happened to Jerry Van Dorpe's and Royce T Bones [please excuss spelling] IH 656 or 666 light super tractors? They seemed to always run well. Also was there any other older IH 656 or 666 light supers that pulled?

Jim Echenrod also had a lite super, I think he did very well for a number of years also!

Jim did fine. From what I know the guy who has his tractor now struggles to keep it running.

Not true at all! Jims old tractor is running very well, it has big cubes, big charger, and very nice paint, and detailing on it. I have seen it run many times. It is out of central Mn. The name on it was Midnight Special when Jim had it, now is called Foolish Pleasure II.

Kenny Sanders tractor belonged to Dick Grahm from the MtAyr,Ia area and was driven by Steve Grahm than it was sold to Kenny Sanders

Anyone know of a old Super Stock or other IH 656 or 666 AG chassis for sale? Would be kind of neat to have one for old time sake.

I now own A 686 that was Tom Harmon's tractor called "Preparation H" back in the middle 80"s. From there it went to Gary Knapp. Not really sure about the rest of its life but i bought it from Charlie Hunt in 2008. At that time it was called City Slicker. Its had many different names threw the years like Little Hyper. When we bought it the tractor was back on one charger. We ran it like that for one year and now we when back to twins. We call it City Slicker GONE COUNTRY.
