What all does it take to get an 1150 massey to run strong in a 3000rpm farm class or a step above farm without breaking the bank??

A good injection pump, camshaft and depending on what size of turbo you are allowed you can be extremly competitive and before you know it the binder guys will be crying when you are whipping them. Know that for a fact. What are you allowed to run? Might have some pieces to help you out

What about the transmission? Does the 1150's 12 speed with multipower need to be replaced with an 8 speed for this type of class?

The first thing is what are your turbo rules and cubic inch rule? The factory 12-speed will hold up for a while but the best thing to do is to swap it out with an 8-speed. The V-8 motor likes to run with a lot of RPM, but if you start with a good cam and turbo setup they can run right there with the rest of them. I know there is a 1155 running around in IN that has been running really good in the 3000RM class. If there is no cubic inch rule then my suggestion is to swap out the 510 for a 640.

We have a very good running 1155 here in SW WI in the 3000rpm farm class. Last I knew he was running a 3X3 charger with alot of fuel (450cc) and maybe bigger tips. But I do know that thing really shoots the smoke straight in the air! Give Joe a call Im sure he can point you in the right direction.
