Roosamaster on 8.1 John Deere
|
Silly question. Does anyone know if there is an adapter plate and pump drive gear/shaft setup in existence to put a Roosamaster injector pump on a 8.1L Deere? |

get yourself a Roosa that has an A or P pump mounting flange. (whichever your block is)Only DM's had those flanges, so it'd be difficult to do a .450 DB. Some road graders with a 531 had a roosa with a P pump mount flange. |

If you machine the driveshaft drive tang down for the DB head you can put a .45 right in a DM housing. Done it several times. |

Thanks for the info. Which driveshaft and gear will work with the 8.1 block and timing gears? |

Why would you want to? |

The reason for this thought is right now I am pulling a JD 4320 in farm stock speed limit classes with a stock appearing pump rule. The tractor is very competitive and I have no plans on changing classes at this time but would like to have an engine that is a little more capable than the stock 404 and also way more versatile for possible future class upgrades such as open farm, hot farm, A and P pump rules.I was just wondering if this had been done before or even possible. |
