how much heavier are they than 10 ply pullers?

Our 10 plys were 385lbs and the 2000s were 420lbs, this is after Behrends Tire Cutting removed some weight by reshaping them.

did you cut these tires yourself or did you have someone else do them for you?

K-3 Tire did them. They run the light super class and know how to make them work.He knows more about the 30.5 HP's then we do.Also they prove it on the track each and every time. These are cut for a light or heavy super stock.

Hey mod puller If those are the ones i seen at K3 the reason they are cheaper is because they arent sized right and they have some bad rubber in them. Good luck you get what you pay for.

Wrong. They are dead nuts on.And even if they were off we can adjust them during the curing process. Why not put your name down instead of FYI?If your going to give out false info out atleast put a name behind it.Some HP's have a softer rubber coundpound that swirls on top of the bar.It doesn't effect performance. If they don't work I'll take them back just like I would with any other tires we sell.Don't want a customer unhappy with our product.

Have they been mounted before and ran a few times? They have bead screw holes in the bead dont they?

I usually don't post on these boards but here goes..

We have had several sets of tires cured by Hawthorn's. All of them came back within 1/4" or less. I know our puller 2000's especially were off initially by more than I liked. My tires even come back with a special luv note from my BFF greybeard Smiling Mark is not kiddin when he says they are matched and I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Our puller 2000 tires are cut by K3 and work GREAT. Bill made a couple trips to Korths shop to go over exactly what we wanted and Mark was very helpful. I don't suppose part of the reason K3 doesn't do as much mod work would have anything to do with the fact there ain't many big mods left in WI?

No slight to Hoosier and Chad.. If K3 wasn't in our backyard, they would be my next choice.

FYI must be chicken to give his name!Hawthorn doesn't have the reputation they have by selling junk.I say don't listen to FYI!Go look at them and see for yourself what they are.Pretty simple!Sounds to me there must be another cutter trying to get the sale!Naw nobody would ever do that!I've talked to others that boughtthe same described tire with the softer rubber from k3 and he didn't discount them.Bottom line they will work from either place.
