John deere sheet metal November 16, 2010 08:50AM
I am thinking about changing my tractor and have a few questions about changing the sheet metal. First it has 4455 hood and a true open station on it, for farm stock, no rollcage. From the fuel tank to the back fender light, do I have something that I can sell. Next, how hard is it to change the sheet metal, to a newer style. I will put a roll cage on it for the fenders to mount to, but I am thinking about 7810 to 7830 sheet metal. What are your thoughts? Thanks

I am not sure why you would want to change. If you have a true open station with 4455 sheetmetal, in my opinion that style looks nicer than the 7000 series. But, that is only an opinion! Yes there are always people looking for 30-55 series sheetmetal and fenders. Why change a classic to cookiecutter!?

I don't know what it is worth yet, however I would like to find the new sheet metal before I put it up for sale. Thanks for asking.
