WI Pullers INC. December 10, 2010 07:25AM
Is PI Pullers going under. I have heard some bad things about this group. I was told they are falling apart and may not be anymore. I have heard over the years they have alot of problems. Self inflicted from what I hear. Just wondering what the members have heard. We were thinking of maybe going that direction, but maybe we should stay where we are at.

What class

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 14, 2010 10:49AM
PI has the best rules. There are no rules. Well there is rules they just don't go by them or make them up as they go along. You just need to be pals with elpresidenta'.

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 10, 2010 11:06AM
Unless this is something new or an internal issue, the PI Pulls I attended last season seemed to be attneded pretty well both from a spectator and number of pullers. If this is true then there will be a lot of smaller hooks that one o off the existing associations should take advantage this opprotunity and grow their organization. Tri-State, South Central, BSTP, and WTPA might be able to add some venues. Probably a better fit for BSTP, South Central, & Tri-state based upon classes offered at the PI venues.

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 11, 2010 02:44PM
Just a few comments on P.I. I pull in the hotfarm class and really enjoy our group. I just talked to Gary, our board president and everything is a go for our banquet on Jan 8th at Ho- Chunk casino. Membership in our group is $125 that night and comes with 2 meals and no hook fees for the year. We also have a year end points fund, usually $200 to win at each pull and pay back 8 places. The last 2 years we have had 26- 29 events each year and always had between 8 and 16 tractors in our class; almost always 10 or more. The best part is the color that we have. 5 6030s, 2 sbjds, 2 good v8 Masseys, a Case and a good group of IHs. Last year we had 8 different winners and 2 other 2nd place finishers.
Some people have complained about rules enforcement. We cube check each tractor and run an RPM recorder on the sled. We are allowed to have an RPM spike over our limit of 3000 RPM as long as it is for less than 1 second in length. Our class rep who does not pull reviews the results of each run and if their is any question the whole class results are downloaded and reviewed. Usually if a tractor has a spike the rep lets the driver know so that he is aware of it. We did have a DQ last year on what would have been a winning run. The driver had had prior warning and there were no hard feelings. We all are not to up tight and if the scale isn't working for example the honor system is accepted by all.
That's the long and short of it for our class. The Superfarm class (NTPA rules) that P.I. has is one of the most colorful around with 3 sbjds, 2 Fords, several Cases, 1 Allis, and at times a shortage of IHs.
The original poster didn't say what class he was interested in and I don't know to much about the trucks but P.I. has 2 good sized 4x4 classes that look pretty tough.
It's to bad that all to often people post on this board just to cause trouble. I thought I should respond to set things straight.

Thanks Gene and well said we tried to get a blue one in for you hotfarm guys last year but did not make it we shall see for next year. I was lookin at it today and it would look so much better with 24.5s on it but the 20.8s may stay on.

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 11, 2010 06:36PM
Hey Andy- we hotfarm guys think that those fords can't stand real compition!

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 12, 2010 12:42AM
Oh boy now you sealed your fate 20.8s are staying on for '11 But I have a few problems with the rules that may keep us away brushpulling it and keeping it in the trailer when when SF and HF are at the same pull.

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 12, 2010 12:15PM
Well said Gene. For those that feel it is disorganized or a joke, I hope you have had or take the opertunity to be a volunteer board member for a primarily volunteer run organization. I have and it is a whole different view when you have to try and
promote the club. Concerning hot farm, how much more can you allow them to "grow" without hurting superfarm, there needs
to be class seperation no matter what club your in. Beside that approx. 26-28 hooks must mean people (crowds and promoters)
like what they see.
Also it seems that EVERY club has a glitch now and then, no matter what class.

Good Luck PI, and I hope to hook with you guys again someday!

If the club is giong to move foward how about electing the president at large? It is amazing to me how Gary wins year after year.

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 12, 2010 09:06AM
All I can say is wow. A different disorginized political pi than I have seen in action in the past. Kinda like 3rd world pulling.

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 12, 2010 10:24AM
PI is a JOKE!!!!!! 2.75 chargers?????? 3000 RPMS???? NO INNER COOLERS??? CAN YOU SAY BORING. Those tractors where hot 15 years ago down here. There is 466 tractors that can eat them up ALL DAY!!! And dont even get me started on their saftey equipment. NO SIDE SHEILDS, ROPS or Cages, Tie bars, The Hell with it you guys might as well not have any saftey equipment at all. And there still charging 1,000 dollars to show up should be more like a 400 dollar show. YES WHAT A JOKE!!!!!

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 13, 2010 12:18AM
PI Has more than hotfarm. At 3000 a 466 is not going to keep up with those tractors. They have insurance as far as I know,so the insurance company is ok with their safety equipment in all their classes.

Re: WI Pullers INC. December 13, 2010 03:33PM
it,s supposed to be a economy class. i dont thi.nk adding a $2000.00 intercooler is going to keep it that way. as for the safety equipment most people are running it , they do have insurance and lastly if you dont like it dontgo it will probably raise the general iq 35%

Re: WI Pullers INC. January 04, 2011 11:40AM
WTF? why r there a bunch of 2.75 chargers on the for sale page?Eye Rolling

Re: WI Pullers INC. January 04, 2011 02:19PM
my guess is some are going to switch to the south central 640 class. again this is only a educated guess

Re: WI Pullers INC. January 05, 2011 02:56AM
