direct drive shaft for oliver 2255 December 24, 2010 01:08PM
i have a 2255 with a 3208 cat motor in trying to find/locate the shaft to convert the over under direct drive transmision to direct without pinning it in direct i know there out there just cant find them i know i will still have to use the stock over under direct drive housing to couple it all together can anyone help im building a superfarm pulling tractor Smiling im addicted!!!

mines locked together in the high side and we have changed a bunch of tranny gears. After all the time figuring out wat gears and time finding them i will just spend the money and drop a profab in next time.

You can have a coupler made to go between the input and out put shafts in the 3 spdded box to make it a direct drive or you can have a new driveshaft made and get rid of the 3spd all together. Call Modern Machine, they can make just about any kind of shaft or coupler you need.

I have a three speed case from a 2255. It has the shafts welded together. This was done at a local tool and die shop. It is 100 percent professionally done and straight. It has no run out. I would be willing to sell it for any reasonable offer. Also have other gears for a 2255 if you need different speeds. Home phone 608-897-4701. Cell phone 608-201-3906.

call atlas tractor will make shaft clutch everthing thing you need just eliminate 3spd altogether with his shaft, a atlas box is also good way to make splitters
