Pic-Unidentified 1466 IH Puller From Early 1970's December 29, 2010 12:31PM


I'm having trouble identifying this early 1466 IH puller.This picture had to be taken at Bethany or Kansas City in the early-mid 1970's.Since it has a WF it had to pull the 12000-15000 classes.

Would it be Ron Bayless from Illinois?

those older pics,with the 30.5.tires and big fronts make the tractors look so much bigger.and does anybody use a straight truck anymore??

I'm almost betting that Lyle Nelson from Nebraska hauled his 3688 on his old Ford until the end a couple of years ago...Any Nebraska guys on here that know? The McKinnons were still using farm trucks in the 1990's.

If I could see the sticker by the TA lever a little better it almost looks like Bob Furnals tractor from Iowa.

Heres Rustys 1466 in 1974 which I think was the first year that he pulled it..The tractor above doesnt appear to be it.

Could it be Herb McKinnon's 1466, he was listed as one of the top 5 at KC in 74.

I'd say thats probably whose tractor it was.Its a shame that none of the McKinnons seem to be on here.

This last picture was at Springfield Mo, probably the Ozark Empire Fair. If not It has a twin track somewhere.

They used to have 2 pulls in Springfield, the Springarama pull in the spring of course , and the ozark empire fair in august.
