Ah little "oh @#$%&" happened today:
Broke a flywheel bolt off and then figured two more were also tired. So. instead of getting the Pro Charger on, we had to split the crankcase and fix a few bolts... Was good to see the crank and bearings in the shape they are in after having put 6 seasons on them. The block actually needs a few upgrades as far as it concerns stronger studs and such - but it ran with less compression (and detonation) than the others. We'll put it back together, do some testing with it and then "upgrade" when time allows. Don't fix what's not broken... That means it will be on the engine on monday evening instead of tonight...
The damn bolts have holes for the wire lock and the flywheel is a bit thicker than what used to be mounred there originally. So, the bolts now broke off (after 6 seasons) where the holes are. The other engines already have other, stronger and longer bolts in. This engine has been a "not broken, don't mess with it" case and it's a bit outdated as far as it concerns the internals....
