J B Durham from Marshall,MO first pulled a 190 XT in the 12000 and then later a 220 AC in the 15000. That XT almost went undefeated one year in the 12000 class around 1967-68. |

Great pictures db,keep them coming.I'm saving all of them. The top picture is Cowboy Phil Johnson from Liberty,MO with his blown Chevy. He later ran twin blown Chevs. He was a character and always had the cowboy hat on.
I believe the bottom picture is Dennis Dohrmans 9000 lb 190 XT AC from Sweet Springs,MO.I believe that LivinOrange that posts on here can tell us more. Its great to see Verl Stephens 1650 Oliver from Bethany,MO.In July 1976 he drove 200 miles down to my hometown for a TPM pull to find out that it was rained out.I visited with him for awhile. He was kind of upset (I didnt blame him) and said he wasnt coming back.I told him that I'd bet money that he would come back on the make up date as he was leading the TPM 5000 SS points race.Sure enough he made it back. That was a good running Oliver. Is Verl still around? By the way I have the complete results for the 1974 pull.Steve Grahams 666 IH was sure a runner in its day. |
