5.9 cummins in a 830 Case January 23, 2011 04:36AM
Will a 1896 bellhousing fit on a 830 8 speed rearend? or do I need to make an adapter plate? Or does someone make them or have a pattern for one?

Im not sure if the housings will swap they probably can be with some work, but I dont think the the rearend will hold up with the bull gear set up they had, I would use the 1896/2096 trans and rear end set up it had inboard planataries I think it would be much stronger.

I would think the 830 Case rearend would be stronger than a Farmall 460, that run in the llss class.
