New component style super farms January 24, 2011 10:59AM
How much power advantage does the new style component transmissions have over the stock ag style transmissions? Curious???

Re: New component style super farms January 24, 2011 03:53PM
Not much power advantage, just a ton cheaper for the HUGE gear selection!
Now the hidden truck rear end instead of the tractor rear, now there is a power advantage there !!

Is this supposed to be a new thing???

Re: New component style super farms January 24, 2011 04:02PM
Engler has been putting a truck carrier in BB Deere's for years, nothing new bout that???? That is what Conny's have, prolly in the tractor when they bought it. Face it guys, that girl just flat whipped ya'll butts @ Gordyville!!! Stop making excuses!!! Booo Hooooo Hoooo Hooo.... Smiling

So you can put a Billet Crank in an engine but you can't put a different style/homeade ring and pinion in a rear end? Its call fabrication, and its a huge part of tractor pulling. Im pretty sure you can put a profab in any IH out there, so what is the big deal? The girl kicked your @$$, fair and square. Deal with it.

seriously why do people think this is a new idea. just about every 6030 rear out there has something different stuffed inside. its not an advantage but its not new either

Whats the advantage (besides weight) of putting a semi ring and pinion in the big block rearend?

less gears to turn= more HP

Re: New component style super farms January 25, 2011 06:34AM
The reason they change the R/P is for gear selection. They also put a profab/SCS/ humpco in the housing. There isn't many any less gears to turn, just easier to change them.

Do you eliminate the planetaries and run straight axle or not?
