Im curious and looking to get into ITPA's new 4.1 Limited Pro class. If i want to be competative with a International what is a rough estimate to how much i will have to spend? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

if you can find one already built will be your cheapest option. just depends on how close to the front u want to be. i've heard some 466 tractors well over 50k, 4.1 will be more

Somewhere in the area of 70,000 to 80,000.

Ricky Berhendt out of Nebraska has one for sale (he built a new component) the old "Wampuscat" is now a 4.1, ready to pull, beats buiding one........

I am pretty sure that the Old and New Wumpus Cats will be a Kemper. The old tractor would be a good tractor to get ahold of.

only if you are going to pull outlaw, to pull with the rest of the nation you will have to spend lots of $$$$$

The old Wampuscat would be a good starter tractor. Easier to start with a good tractor and improve on it then to start from scratch. There is some good parts there. And best of all you could get to know Ricky, A barrel of monkey's looking for a place to happen. Real good people.

now it may just be me but when i get into pulling, i want to build my tractor myself because of the pride of pulling something you built from the ground up. buying may be cheaper but in my opinion, it takes some of the personal pride drivers have in their tractors

Building a puller is a lot of work, my son and I put in countless hours building our mod., but I wouldnt trade those hours for anything. When someone comes up to us at a pull we can say we built it ourselves. Pride is worth alot, but it aint easy either..
