When it comes to the DT 466 is there a year of motor that is better than others?

I have read that the better head is the + head.

Where would you find the best combo in a truck or tractor?

The motors from the early 90's trucks. Roller cam and sometimes the big intake. Hyper says the head with the casting number ending in 426 is the best, which is not the +, but i'm not sure what they came on.

the 426 is a tractor head and it flows the best out of all stock heads. I have seen this straight from the flow bench nums, the plus head is said to have more metal in it so you can do more porting before you have to fill it, but it does not flow as good as the 426 head in stock form
