over-head cam cylinder heads February 08, 2011 03:06AM
are there any over-head cam diesels out there in pulling?

Re: over-head cam cylinder heads February 08, 2011 03:42AM
Probably not in tractors as most tractor classes are anti technology and such things are generaly banned. I know several of the compact tractors run them as the VW and Mercedes diesels are overhead cam to begin with. There is also a 24V dual overhead cam diesel truck.

3 OHC Diesels in western PA.

Fred Hildenbrand DSS
Stan Auen DSS
Matt Hildenbrand Pro Stock

The DSS are strong runners.

Bullet Motorsports built the heads on Hildenbrand and Auen's Supers.

Re: over-head cam cylinder heads February 09, 2011 06:29AM
Bullet did not build those heads. They assembled Stan's. That was it.

Fred H was the designer, who did the actual work not sure. Both of the DSS run very, very strong. They have one problem can't keep the bottom in them. I beleive Dambach's old head is at Lusticks. It is a cog belt drive OHC setup. If Fred gets the bugs out you will definately hear about them! Pics of Fred's on the Eastern extreme site at the keystone last year.
