I agree 100%. If at all possible, i would shy away from the 2000 series chassis. Thats only about a 100-110 horse tractor and it could easily weigh as much as 12-15,000 lbs. I mean, could it be done? .........possibly, mainly depending on the rules of the class, and how creative you are with a cutting torch. I think that you would have a much easier time with a 1000 series 6 cyl tractor because their shipping weight can be as low as 9500lbs or a little less. This is just my opinion, and i commend you wanting to try something different, but to me 7000lbs might be a pretty tall order for a 2705.

hey nathan i just wanted to say i agree with u the 1000 series def would be easier to cut down than the 2000 series and if ur running a 3000 rpm class it is always an advantage to run the multi power i think i had 2 1150's and ran multi power in both and the one turned 6000 plus rpms! |
