Im building a 966 ih and have to use a stock 414 block. was wondering what is the best way is to getg to 650 cubic inches. any info would be appreciated.

The block is the same as the 436 and 466 the difference is the internals, so you will have to do all the same things as you would a 466. Also the head is a N/A head so that wont work either unless you are pulling N/A

Ask your uncle. Didn't they have a couple of 640-650ish stuff before they tried the 700 stuff.

Just blowing some smoke. I would really give Jeff Suits a call. He has at least one "kit" (I suppose you would call it that for 640. He could at least get you in the ball park of the bore & stroke combination you would be looking for.

Good luck with the build. Maybe see you sometime this summer.

If your going to run N/A what pump are you going to use? BTW 640 is a good #.

looking to run the stock pump this year and up grade to a p pump next year.

Spend your money on the P pump and forget about the model 100. You will save time and money.
