2 Months before the season and nothing to go buy. how hard is it to put something in writing and get it posted on your first class website

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 03, 2011 10:47AM
All three websites have a link to the news letter that says that there will be no change in rules from the previous associations.

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 03, 2011 11:18AM
whats the website address??

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 03, 2011 01:36PM
Why have 3 Websites for 1 association. Doesn't make sense. That is the whole reason for consolidation

What are the limits on the LSS class?

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 04, 2011 06:44AM
The new site is a work in progress and will be the only site, give the association some time and everything will work out.

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 04, 2011 11:22AM
Why dont they just give up ?

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 04, 2011 01:22PM
if there not going to check the fuel and water why bother buying it and what is going cost

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 04, 2011 02:02PM
This water and fuel rule is why a lot of guys are going somewhere else. Just let everybody run whatever fuel and water they want but check it before they pull. There is know way of knowing that when your sample is sent off that it couldn't get tamperd with.

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 04, 2011 02:12PM
That is just 1 more thing to police and cause more headache for everyone involved. If they make you run there fuel and water the association should have to buy it and provide it for the pullers!!! It is a free country and don't make truck and tractor pulling into a NAZI dictatorship

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 06, 2011 05:46AM
The whole water and fuel joke was to try to control some people but it didn't work. They still seem to run good. Why can't they test the water or fuel on the spot and be told right there instead of saying they are sealing the containers and sending them off for risk of being tampered with. The have test strips to test water and fuel. Everyone should have left things alone and went and had a good time instead of all the fighting!!

Re: Xcalibur pulling? April 06, 2011 02:53PM
Tell me more about these test strips. Will they detect if anything besides water and soluble oil is in the sample?

The spec water and fuel rules that NFMS, Outlaws, ECMo, and possibly others have adopted are in response to the "MI water" and any similar concoctions. Maybe they don't even really exist but the reality is that just the idea of them causes problems. I've seen people cheat and justify it by saying that they 'know' Joe Blow is cheating so they have to also. Now some groups are taking steps to ensure a level playing field and some of you are concerned that an official may tamper with the sample? Do you make your doctor test your blood in your presence to ensure they don't tamper with it too?

I don't see how any simple field test can do more than react to a specific substance. How do you identify ALL of the potential performance enhancers and test for them? Look at the steroid and blood doping stuff in sports and what a cat and mouse game that has become.

You proved a good point deere puller, but the point about the doctor checking your blood an sending it off to get checked , your right but you didn't have to buy that blood from the doctor, its your own blood thats getting checked. It should be the same way with fuel and water, run your own fuel and water ,take a sample an send it off to get checked.

I posted a reply under fuel and water, because after all that's what this whole thing is about.
