sbjd headgasket April 05, 2011 02:02PM
Wondering if there are any options for improved headgaskets without going to firerings. Is there a more affordable route - ie copper headgasket etc. running 45+ lbs boost in hot farm class and don't want to put much $$$ in it this year - want to wait to do firerings with a better head/more cubes. Thanks for your help. What are the options??

thanks

pull the sleeves out and have a groove machined in them ( if you have access to a lathe you can do it yourself) and buy some fire rings from sealtec. the rings are $4 each but you have to order minimum of 18. put it back together and for around $200 or less you wont have to worry any more I dont think you can buy a copper head gasket much cheaper. once you go to a fire ring you will be glad you did, trust me Ive been there and done that.

I have gasket and fire rings you can use without cutting groove. Not as good as cutting groove but better than stock
