Cummins injector April 12, 2011 12:05PM
Have a 5.9 with a p pump set at 360 cc. Will .093 lines and .015 hole injectors work? Have a hx40 and a hx50 turbo to choose from also. Please help. Thanks for the space.

What size exhaust housings on the turbo's?? What application?? (what are trying to do??) Truck or Tractor?? and what RPM's
With that fuel the 40 would work.. but the 50 would be better.. (The shaft of the 40's have been known to break.) depends on the RPMS and exhausting if you could keep it turning..

It will be in a light pro field tractor with a 3000 rpm limit. The hx40 has a 22 hsg and the hx50 has a 19 housing. PUMP IS CAPABLE OF 450 CC also. Can run intercooler also or water/alcohol injection. Injectors are 4 hole I believe.

hx50 won't stay lit with that housing and wih that fuel/rpm combo. Look for a 16cm Gated Housing for a hx40. Have a machine shop machine the housing for the larger wheel in the hx50. Put the housing on on the Hx50. This will flow way more air than the 40 ever thought of. Please, use the gate, the shafts in the 50's also like to break. Also your injectors are a tad small. A 4x0.022 would be better uited for your application. Timing will be your most crucial thing.

With the hx50 and a good injector/pump combo 600-650 is possible.
